Protect your Holiday Home this Winter

As winter swiftly takes over and temperatures begin to drop, it’s important to protect your holiday home from frost damage. One of the most effective ways to do this is by completing a full drain down before leaving your caravan unoccupied for any length of time.

We ask all owners to drain down their units during the winter months to help prevent frozen pipes, leaks, and costly repairs: giving you complete peace of mind while not on park.

Why a Drain Down Matters

Leaving water in pipes, taps, toilets, or tanks can cause freezing and expansion, leading to cracks, leaks and costly repairs.
A proper drain down helps to:

  • Prevent frozen or burst pipes

  • Protect fixtures, fittings and appliances

  • Reduce risk of internal damage

  • Keep your holiday home ready for your next visit

To help you prepare your caravan safely, we’ve created a simple poster that walks you through both mini drain downs (useful in summer) and full winter drain downs (recommended when frost is likely).
